Quickie Album Reviews

This is a new segment where I take new albums, skim through it without really even giving it a chance and tell you in less than 5 sentences whether or not it is worth a further listen. If you have albums you want me to review, let me know in the comments or on my Facebook page HERE

1. T-Pain -- Revolver

Product Details

Diagnosis: This dude takes not having talent to a brand new level. So if you like mediocre Auto-tuned songs about doing nasty things to women, getting money, rappers that say their own name every few seconds in a song, or the word "Shawty" than this is the album for you.
Grade: F+

2. Anthony Hamilton -- Back To Love

Product Details

Diagnosis: If you are like me, than you are a sucker for some soul. No Auto-tune here. Just some seriously soulful R&B. Not every song is a home run. But it's enough to keep listening.
Grade: B+

3. Foster The People -- Tourches

Product Details

Diagnosis: We should take up tourches and start a riot over why this is so popular. It sounds like some kids from the glee club went out and bought a Casio keyboard and then started a band.
Grade: D-

4. AWOLNATION -- Megalithic Symphony

Product Details

Diagnosis: It's not without a few charms. Kind of grows on you. Or at least the 7 minutes I spent listening to the album did.
Grade: B

5. Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros -- Up From Below

Product Details

Diagnosis: Hippies with an odd religious obsession and some odd songs.. Oh.. and it's really really good. The song "Home", alone is worth the price of the album.
Grade: B+
