Hyperfast Missile To Hit Anywhere In An Hour

Hyperfast missile to hit anywhere in an hour - Times Online

I love this idea. We can hit anywhere on the globe and take out bad guys within an hour. Now if we find Osama Bin Laden and he's thinking about leaving to head down to the store or something like that we just have to stall him for an hour. I think if we can get someone undercover in there who is willing to get blown up along with him, we have a shot at it. Here's some ideas of things the undercover guy can say to get him to get him to stay put...

* "Hey, don't leave yet.. word has it there is a woman about to show her ankles in the cave."

* "Osama.. You leave, and I swear I will draw a picture of Mohammed! I'll do it man!"

* "Why are you leaving? The Guiding Shiite is on, you love that show!"

* "Where were you on 9/11?"

* This one requires you bring your own horn... "Was that the call to prayer? Yeah, not sure why it's so soon after the last call to prayer...but hey.. it's the law!"

* "Ding, ding, ding...roasted goat is ready in the cave!!!"

Anyone else got any ideas?

Fun Facts

* I don't want to sound cocky, but I am pretty sure that if I had access to Google during the procedure I could successfully perform open heart surgery.

* The Wichita River Festival is a week long event where everyone comes out of their homes in the trashiest clothes they can find to stand together in the street eating funnel cakes and corn dogs. And then generally someone gets stabbed at some point.

* Tongue rings and neck tattoos....don't forget to not do that.

Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, and Marvin Gaye

Three of my soul music heroes all died young, and tragically. Sam Cooke who is a legend in my book, if not THE legend. Died December 11, 1964 in a senseless shooting over a misunderstanding. I think it's kind of sad, most young people today have never heard the name Sam Cooke even though he singlehandedly changed the way music sounds. His influence echoes throughtout the world of music even today.

Three years later, almost to the day of Sam Cooke's death, Otis Redding was killed along with almost his entire band The Bar-Kays when their Beachcraft 16 crashed in Madison, Wisconsin. After his death a song came out that would forever seal his name as a legend, "(Sittin'On) The Dock Of The Bay". However Redding's best soul music had come the years leading up to his death. Here is one of my all time favorites, "Pain In My Heart."

Another huge tragedy occurred twenty years after the death of Sam Cooke. It was the early and sad death of Marvin Gaye. On April 1, 1984, Gaye's father fatally shot him after an argument that started after his parents squabbled over misplaced business documents. Marvin Gaye is a huge legend in my book. His voice is unmatchable before or since. A perfect example of that is this video where they took out the instrument track and left just Marvin Gaye singing "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" A Capella. It's incredible.

If you only listen to "new" music. Just know that most of what comes out these days is crap, and the stuff that isn't crap is only good because of trailblazers like these three legends. If they were alive today music would not be the same.

Obama Is Not The Anti-Christ

Barack Obama speaking at a campaign rally in A...Image via Wikipedia

Let's face it, Obama is a bad, bad president. It goes beyond just making bad decisions. He's making decisions that he knows the American people just don't support, and he's making them because he thinks it's best, no matter what we think. That starts to cross the line from representative government into dictatorship. He's biting the hand that feeds because he thinks the hand that feeds needs to be tamed, and it's ruining America.

So now a lot, and I mean a lot of my fellow Christian republicans are saying they literally believe that Obama may be the anti-christ. First of all it should be noted that the Bible does say an Anti-Christ will arise. But it also says there will be many anti-christs and in fact there are already many walking among us. I am unsure whether these people know they are anti-christs or not.

Here's why I don't think Obama is THE anti-christ. I think the anti-christ will make great first. I think even some Christians will say, 'Wow this guy is awesome, he may bring peace in our time!' I believe the real anti-christ will claim to be a Christian and even attend church possibly. It will be the classic bait and switch. I also don't believe that the anti-christ will be the American president. I believe that America will collapse first before he arises. And that my friends is where Obama comes in.

Obama is setting the stage. He is going to collapse America from the inside out. Our bankruptcy financially is not too far off. Most of us will probably see it in our lifetime. With our collapse, many nations will crumble like dominoes.

Obama is not the anti-christ. I don't think the anti-chirst will need a teleprompter, he will have satan himself feeding him the words to say. Obama is too hated to be the anti-christ. Trust me, Obama won't be able to buy the election in 2012, he's done for. America may be sinking but we aren't at the stage yet where we will sit still while you start yanking are freedoms away from us.

Obama may be AN anti-christ, but he is not THE anti-christ. THE anti-christ will charm the socks off of all of us before he enslaves us. Obama isn't charming anyone anymore except for maybe Sean Penn.. and let's face it Joseph Stalin and Pol Pot would have charmed the socks off of Sean Penn.

The End Is Dear

A repost... Everyone is freaking out over the environment, the wars, the hurricanes, and the earthquakes. The end is near. I for one believe it. I also welcome it. Everywhere I look around me I see these disasters, they have shows devoted to them. But what they don't show is the disasters that are happening in marriages, families, and individuals. No one seems to be happy. Death, destruction, divorce, and depression is growing like fungus.

I am so ready for the Lord to come back and drop the A-bomb on it all. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a death wish. I just have a wish to see glory in my lifetime. If the Armageddon starts I would welcome it.

If anyone believes that America and the rest of the world are going to recover and we will create our own utopia here on earth.. think again. The ship is going down.. So I say, Praise the Lord, and pass the ammunition!

Fun Facts

* Just once I want to jump over the counter at McDonalds and use that french fry scoop to funnel as many fries into my mouth before they catch me.

* Subway restaurant hordes napkins. It is like pulling teeth to get them to give you more than one. I wonder what their overhead on those things are.. maybe it's time to find a new distributer.

* McDonalds Monopoly game promotion has been around for a very long time. I think people are kind of done with that. Maybe they need to consider switching to a different game promotion. I'm thinking Boggle.

I Believe Jesus Is Our First, Last, and Only Hope

3 Reasons Why I believe He is God.. (Updated)

1. Even though I was raised in a Christian home. I have spent many hours studying just why I believe what I believe. I have weighed the evidence, read from the founding fathers of our faith. And I have come to the conclusion that Jesus IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He DID rise from the dead and this life only makes sense because Jesus is Lord. There are men who have gone before us who died alone in remote parts of the earth because they were chosen to tell the world about it's need a savior. They didn't die by blowing themselves up.. They were killed because they were blessed to be "Shamed for the Name".

2. The alternative beliefs cannot account for evil, good, redemption, faith, life, or existence itself. I know I have a reason to live, and a reason why I will die. No other worldview comes close to answering the question as to why bad things happen to supposedly good people. If Christianity were made up in back rooms to control people, it would have been much like other religions.. very human-comfort oriented. Instead you are required to give Him everything. And in turn your joy comes in the morning.. but oh what joy and peace will come, and for eternity even!

3. I feel it. Skeptics say that nothing should be based on feelings. But before facts ever enter the equation, and they do enter it, I feel something inside me that is not of this world. My conscience eats at me sometimes. My mind drifts to places that are beyond me. The Bible says that we are born with the knowledge of the one Holy God. And I believe that, I feel it, and it gives me hope. My feelings MUST not trump His word though, or else they are not truly from Him. Always beware that Satan has the ability to mimic feelings. Test your experiences against scripture and you will be made whole in your faith.

Thank God for the Resurrection!
