What Is Your Dream Concert?

What if you could have any 3 artists or bands, alive or dead, together at one concert? Who would you choose?

My opening artist would probably be Otis Redding. He would get things fired up. And then after a long set, out comes Jim Croce to sort of bring it down a notch. And then topping the night off would be Sam Cooke from when he was in his prime. The last song of the night of course would be Bring It On Home with special guest Lou Ralls.

That concert can't be topped...But go ahead and try anyway!

The mid-sixties Miles Davis Quintet with Ron Carter on bass, Herbie Hancock on piano, Tony Williams on drums and Wayne Shorter on sax.

Next...the great Ornette Coleman Quartet with Don Cherry on trumpet, Charlie Haden on bass and Billy Higgins on drums.

Finally...the Bill Evans Trio with Paul Motian on drums and the late, great Scott LaFaro on bass.
